Why this sequence?
th Edition Planning Process Group
WBS FirstDecompose scope into deliverables before defining tasks. Ensures 100% scope coverage and no missed work.
Then DefineEach work package becomes activities. Set predecessor logic (FS, SS, FF, SF), dependency types, and durations in one step.
Then EstimateUse standard day-based estimates or PERT three-point estimation (O+4M+P)/6 — toggled per task or globally.
Then ScheduleModule 2 imports this data to build the Gantt chart, critical path, and schedule baseline.
Quick Start
Module 2 will add
Gantt chart · Critical path (CPM) · Resource loading · Schedule baseline approval · Cost estimation (Module 3)
💡 Select a node then use + Work Package (sibling) or + Child. Double-click any node to rename. Click ✎ Dict on any node to add WBS Dictionary details (description, assumptions, constraints, acceptance criteria).
WBS Guidelines
📁 Level 0 — Project
